FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 15, 2016 RENO, NV - "Victory is success in overcoming struggles or difficulties." The Alchemists laugh now at this description, which they used to advertise their first attempt at a show titled Victory on August 17th. After a month of hard work, promotion, and rehearsals, The Alchemists had to cancel their August show on the morning of due to a scary emergency health issue of Mark Emerson, Alchemist Theatre's Music Director, which left him in the hospital for 3 days. What was feared to be MRSA turned out to be a bite from a brown recluse spider. But, The Alchemists cannot be stopped. They will rise again. Victory is still imminent! And this time, it's going to be twice as powerful. "It was beyond beautiful to watch the community rally behind Mark. Many of our fans still showed up at our theater that evening, and shared healing arts like prayer and reiki. We only had to issue a few refunds, while most people committed themselves to our September 21st date, still excited to experience Victory," shared Joseph Daylover, Director of Development for Alchemist Theatre. Alchemist Theatre, a unique synthesis of church and theatre, presents one new interfaith show every month at Center for Spiritual Living, Reno, offering music, sermons, and art based on a theme. "Victory is the most important show we've ever done," teased Emerson. "We're inviting people to transform their relationship to Christ, a topic generally avoided by many metaphysical churches. It's no wonder these last few months have been a little more supernatural than usual. Imagine how much transformation could be gained through changing the connotation of Christ back to its origin of unconditional love? Whether you believe Jesus was an actual person or a divine higher consciousness, we must now harness this holy energy from its original intention, long before the days of prejudiced translations, institutional corruption, and media divisiveness, say The Alchemists. Through inspired sermons, music, and multimedia art, The Alchemists are bravely going where most new age religions fear to go on 9/21/16 – “Oh my God, we’re going full Jesus!” Reverend Divine flamboyantly shares in their latest promo video, "The J Word". ### LINK TO VIDEO: Alchemist Theatre presents: "The J Word" LINK TO ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE: "Alchemist Theatre transforms Christ" LINK TO OFFICIAL GROUP PROMO VIDEO: Official Trailer
