Alchemist Theatre is an interfaith organization that honors all loving paths. At our "Victory" themed show in September, we tackled the issue of Jesus/Christianity, and the way those teachings are often left out of many new age churches, including the early history of the #AlchemistMovement. As we heal ourselves of these triggers, we step into a new/whole-er way of being. In order to show the world that we have no specific agenda, we captured a variety of voices answering one simple question, and debuted the final video at our show.

RENO, NV - "Victory is success in overcoming struggles or difficulties." The Alchemists laugh now at this description, which they used to advertise their first attempt at a show titled Victory on August 17th. After a month of hard work, promotion, and rehearsals, The Alchemists had to cancel their August show on the morning of due to a scary emergency health issue of Mark Emerson, Alchemist Theatre's Music Director, which left him in the hospital for 3 days. What was feared to be MRSA turned out to be a bite from a brown recluse spider. But, The Alchemists cannot be stopped. They will rise again. Victory is still imminent! And this time, it's going to be twice as powerful.
"It was beyond beautiful to watch the community rally behind Mark. Many of our fans still showed up at our theater that evening, and shared healing arts like prayer and reiki. We only had to issue a few refunds, while most people committed themselves to our September 21st date, still excited to experience Victory," shared Joseph Daylover, Director of Development for Alchemist Theatre.
Alchemist Theatre, a unique synthesis of church and theatre, presents one new interfaith show every month at Center for Spiritual Living, Reno, offering music, sermons, and art based on a theme. "Victory is the most important show we've ever done," teased Emerson. "We're inviting people to transform their relationship to Christ, a topic generally avoided by many metaphysical churches. It's no wonder these last few months have been a little more supernatural than usual.
Imagine how much transformation could be gained through changing the connotation of Christ back to its origin of unconditional love? Whether you believe Jesus was an actual person or a divine higher consciousness, we must now harness this holy energy from its original intention, long before the days of prejudiced translations, institutional corruption, and media divisiveness, say The Alchemists.
Through inspired sermons, music, and multimedia art, The Alchemists are bravely going where most new age religions fear to go on 9/21/16 – “Oh my God, we’re going full Jesus!” Reverend Divine flamboyantly shares in their latest promo video, "The J Word".

Here's what the show is about:
Right now, there seems to be a divide in the Spiritual community. Though we aim to walk an interfaith path, some of us modern-day mystics carry the wounds of organized religion, misrepresented faith, and tainted dogma. This is no more true than our perception of and relationship to Christ.
As Alchemists, we are Spiritual Pilgrims; we find the truth of God in a myriad of ways, and a plethora of paths. Join us, on September 21st, as The Alchemists all share their unique relationship to Christ. For many it is a positive new relationship, others a long-standing connection, and for a few it is a strained, conflicted bond. All relationships will be shared authentically on stage.
It is our intention, under the banner of truth and healing, to have an open exploration of Jesus (Yeshua) Christ, and strive to Alchemize our hearts (whether positive, neutral, or negative) to the Christ energy, as well as to the leadership of a powerful healer and teacher.
"How Bazaar" - A Healing Marketplace, opens at 6:45pm, offering a variety of free healings, including prayer, reiki, readings, and more. The Sanctuary doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm.
The show may also be streamed online.
